Each sheet has:
One sanded side for printing
One smooth side (either clear glossy or white glossy)
Because this product is more expensive than hand-coloring shrink plastic and is specifically designed for printing, please ensure you select the correct product for your needs.
 
What is Shrink Plastic?
Shrink plastic is a crafting material that you can print or draw on, then heat to shrink and thicken, turning it into cute miniature jewelry or decorative items.
 
During manufacturing, the polymer chains are rapidly cooled to maintain a thin sheet. When reheated, the molecules contract, causing the plastic to shrink and become thicker. One of the most interesting parts is watching the plastic curl, shrink, and flatten again in the oven.
 
How to Use:
Prepare Your Design:
Use inkjet printers only (Laser printers generate high heat, which can cause the plastic to shrink and jam inside the printer)
Print on the sanded side only
Colors will appear darker after shrinking, so adjust your design accordingly:
Reduce opacity by ~50%
Increase contrast and saturation by ~50%
(Results may vary depending on the image, so testing beforehand is recommended)
 
Shrinking Methods:
1. Oven (Recommended):
Bake at 160°C for 3–5 minutes
Do not leave unattended during baking
Use baking/parchment paper to line the tray
The process is complete when the plastic becomes flat, smaller, and thicker
Remove quickly and press flat with a heavy object until fully cooled
Smaller pieces will shrink faster
2. Heat Gun (300W):
Alternative option, but requires caution due to high heat
Airflow may blow the plastic away, so secure it properly
Best for small pieces
3. Hair Dryer:
May shrink very thin plastic, but not powerful enough for thicker sheets
Not recommended due to low effectiveness
4. Microwave:
Not suitable, as microwaves heat food differently and will not shrink the plastic properly
5. Direct Flame:
Will burn and blacken the plastic
